The scheme consists of two traditionally proportioned dwellings fronting the road and two more contemporary dwellings set into the hillside at the rear of the site.
Two upper houses replace a derelict house that was set back from the road at a peculiar angle. The new houses will close the gap and continue the building line set by the rest of the street. A private drive between the upper houses provides access to two further houses to the rear of the site. These houses will have a more contemporary feel and are set into the landscape to minimise their impact on the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the neighbouring properties. All the houses will benefit from panoramic views across the Jurassic Coast. The two lower modern houses have green roofs and step up the hill helping them to fit seamlessly into their setting.
