The site which is subject to a woodland order contains many important trees that needed to be retained. The three bedroom sustainable dwelling hovers on stilts above the sloping woodland floor allowing foliage to flourish. The structure was thoughtfully designed to 'tread' as lightly as possible to avoid damaging the tree root systems during and after construction.
This is a modular building built from insulating wall panels constructed off site.
