Froyle Park was the site of the former 16.7 acre Treloar School. Western Design worked closely with the Developer Nicolas James Group’s in house design team to progress an application for Planning and Listed Building Consent. Detailed design and construction work packages were also carried out on the Heritage Assets to obtain Building Regulations Approval for the Works.
The masterplanning scheme included the conversion of the existing school building to create an additional 13 dwellings. Works to Heritage Asset’s included the Conversion of a Grade II* Listed Jacobean Manor House into a new Country Park Hotel including 14 self-contained apartments and the reconstruction of an outbuilding to create 8 new bedroom suites. Works to a Grade II* Listed Manor House to create additional accommodation to 3 existing units. Conversion of former school buildings and Grade II Listed Barns to create 6 new dwellings and conversion of a Grade II Listed Oast House into 7 residential units.
