Project Description

Listed conversion - office to house, Shaftesbury

Change of use and conversion of an office and toilet at the rear of Minster House, currently a mish mash of add-ons and extensions, into a tiny one bedroom house.

The building is listed by virtue of its physical connection to the listed former bank, Minster House.  The bank was listed because of its historic and visual importance in the street scene at the front.

Works included repair of the existing pitched roof, replacement of the flat roof, insertion of a new window, general refurbishment throughout and replacement of rotten doorways, reopening of the fireplace and the insertion of a mezzanine and staircase.
