Western Design Architects were successful in competition to design a new building for Talbot Heath School, an independent girls school in Talbot Woods. The brief was to introduce more diverse spaces and larger open areas for an interdisciplinary learning approach for the school.
The three-storey building will include a flexible 600 seat auditorium, gallery and exhibition spaces and studios for drama, art, textiles, graphic design and robotics, as well as extensive break out spaces for independent working. The scheme also incorporates an indoor pool and changing facilities.
Talbot Heath School is our first major BIM project. We are fully collaborating with the structural engineer, M&E engineers, manufacturers and fabricators, utilising the very latest Revit Technology. WDA are thrilled that this project is now on site with Lead contractor Acheson.
