Design for a contemporary partially subterranean new home in a rural location on the edge of a village in Dorset.
From the front of the property the house is single storey and clad in striking pre-patinated copper. The entrance leads into the open plan living area with a large wall of glazing and a balcony opening out to views across the countryside. The 3 bedrooms of this 'upside down house' are located downstairs and are partially sunken into the sloping site. From the rear, the house is two levels connected by a solid set of stone steps to one side.
