Western Design Architects sent a team of talented designers along to the Gryphon School Careers Event to run a stand representing the RIBA and promoting Architecture as a career.
This event started at Lunchtime and went on well into the evening. Over 1700 pupils from the Gryphon School plus many others from neighbouring schools attended including Anthony Leweston, Sherborne School for Girls and Sherborne School for Boys. There were 80 careers exhibitors with a wide-ranging variety of potential career paths to choose from. The age of the pupils varied widely from 14 upwards. WDA we were able to open their eyes to opportunities in Architecture. We had a continuous stream of enquiries from pupils, some interested in Architecture some had no idea what Architecture was.
We hope we have inspired some young individuals into the world of Architecture and design.
Western Designs Community Involvement Program builds relationships with the local community and in particular schools. If you are a local school in Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wilshire or Hampshire and would like someone to talk to pupils about Architecture as a career at your event please contact Western Design Architects.
