House in AONB Approved

Planning permission was granted by the Planning Inspectorate for a new two storey traditional house within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).  Despite being sited within an area of proposed Local Green Space within the emerging Neighbourhood Plan, the Inspector concluded that the proposed dwelling would maintain the spacious appearance of the area within the tree lined boundaries and would have an acceptable effect on the character and appearance of the area.  The approval also confirmed there would be no conflict with the local strategy of protecting local distinctiveness.
