Lymington Town Centre

Sustainable Planning Approval

Re-purposing of derelict or redundant buildings is sustainable and very much in the spirit of issues being discussed at COP26.  It also aligns with WDA's approach towards reusing existing buildings and ‘green’ architecture.

New Forest District Council granted planning approval and conservation area consent for the change of use and conversion of this outbuilding into a new dwelling.

The conversion of this former storage shed to the rear of a retail unit on St Thomas Street in the centre of Lymington will create a new 1 bedroom house.  The property will have its own private sunny courtyard garden, ideal as a mini sanctuary in the centre of town, within walking distance of all amenities.

Every time we convert an existing vacant building, it reduces pressure to build a new house on a previously undeveloped site.
