Due to the success of the temporary scheme in May 2013, the Government has announced that permitted development rights allowing the conversion of offices to residential are to be made permanent from April 6^th 2016.  

A new three year temporary right will also be allowed to change buildings in light industrial use to housing, up to a maximum of 500sqm.
