Wimborne Town Football Club

East Dorset District Council planning committee agreed to grant planning permission for the new Wimborne Town Football Club designed by Western Design Architects on land to the south of Leigh Road and Parmiter Drive.  The new club will include two floodlit pitches including a training pitch as well as areas for standing and up to 350 sheltered seats for fans.  Provision will be made for 200 cars and several coaches on site.

The single storey club house facilities include changing rooms, conference and function suites, club shop, kitchen and meeting rooms.  A separate building will house the groundsman’s building, equipment store and other facililties will be located closer to the training pitch. The new football club formed part of a wider approval of approximately 66 houses, 15 flats, 50 allotments, a teenage activity area and SANG.
