Official opening of Willowbed Hall & Suite

Western Design Architects were pleased to attend the official opening of the newly enhanced Chickerell Town Council building.

The extension, together with associated refurbishment works has created a flexible and welcoming multifunctional space, enabling Chickerell Town Council to host a wider range of community events and activities.

Speeches were delivered from the Mayor, Town Clerk and Project Architect – Rebecca Smith, followed by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and ribbon cutting by the Mayor and Mayoress.

Rebecca’s speech reflected on the journey behind the transformation of Willowbed Hall, from the original vision through to the completed building. She shared how the project has created a more welcoming, flexible and accessible space for the community, while incorporating new planting, landscaping and biodiversity features to support local wildlife. Rebecca also spoke of the successful collaborative efforts of Western Design Architects, Greendale Construction, Chickerell Town Council and the wider project team in overcoming challenges to deliver this valuable community asset.
