Getting Started
- Initial meeting to discuss your ideas & budget
- Identify the site constraints & opportunities eg listed buildings/AONB
- Develop the design brief defining your aspirations & requirements
- Agree terms of appointment, services & fees
- Appoint consultants & arrange site survey
Stages
2-3
The Design Stage
- Produce creative design ideas and concepts
- Seek Pre-Application advice if appropriate
- Progress your design with BIM, 3D visuals, hand drawings & CAD
- Preparation of planning drawings
- Submit planning application to Local Authority
Stage
4
Pre-Construction
- Discharge conditions relating to your approval
- Prepare Building Regulation drawings for approval by Building Control
- Coordinate Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and other consultants
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, schedules & specifications for builders
- Negotiate or seek competitive tenders as appropriate

Construction
- Administer the building contract
- Make site visits and inspections
