We’re very excited to announce that our planning application has been approved, for new leisure facilities within the grounds of a charming Grade 2* Listed 17th Century country house in Dorset.
The approval includes a single-storey pavilion and a gym, plus a new padel court replacing the existing tennis court in the grounds.

Both buildings have been carefully positioned so they will not be visible from neighbouring properties, nearby roads and the main house.
Designed in a simple, contemporary, understated style with a natural materials palette, ensures the pavilion and gym remain subservient to the listed buildings.
The pavilion features vertical timber cladding, a mono-pitch roof and a sports viewing terrace and seating area. Inside we provided a kitchen, seating and entertainment area with log burner, toilets and a sports equipment storage.

The new gym will be built near the listed coach house courtyard. Designed with a flat sedum roof, the vertical timber cladding will match that used on the pavilion. The use of natural materials allows the new buildings to blend effortlessly into their setting and surrounding landscape.
Overall, the scheme aims to provide modern recreational facilities, while limiting visual impact on the site and its important historic character.
