LABC Region Award Winners 2025

WDA are proud that Branksea Avenue has been awarded a regional winner at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2025. The contemporary waterside house overlooking Poole Harbour in Dorset has won ‘Best Individual New Home’ in the South West Region!

LABC received a number of outstanding entries this year, so earning a regional winner award is a fantastic achievement!

Notable for its innovative design, seamless integration with its harbourside setting, and commitment to sustainability, this contemporary family home connects harmoniously with Poole Harbour’s breathtaking views and respects the unique character of the waterfront.

The house is designed with sustainability at its core, using a carefully chosen selection of materials that are not only durable and beautiful but also blend naturally with the surrounding sea, sand, and trees. Solar panels and battery storage provide more than enough energy for the home’s needs, while air-source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points show a genuine commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
