Affordable housing approved in Weymouth

We are thrilled that our Weymouth sea front project has been granted full planning permission to demolish the existing rear extension and erect 23 flats with associated parking.

Situated on the Esplanade, this Grade II Listed building forms part of a historic terrace of building and is in the Weymouth Town Conservation Area. All the new flats will be 100% affordable, given the high demand for affordable housing within Weymouth this is a significant benefit to the local area.

The new 5 storey brick development has undercroft parking on the ground floor and is positioned to the rear of the existing Listed building. The design draws influence from the Georgian period to ensure it fits in well with the existing building and established pattern of development in the locality.

Solar panels have been incorporated on the roof, due to the height of the new building these are not considered to be detrimental to the historic street scene.
